9. Install the milk tube to the elbow (2) (see figure
18 on page 5-13).
10. Install tube (4) to the coupling of the sampling
cylinder (3).
11. Select button Next.
12. Set:
1. The current rack number.
2. The start and end position.
3. The number of empty bottles for alarm.
4. The fill time for a sample bottle.
13. Select button Next.
5.5 Ending Milk Sampling
Sampling can be completed when sufficient samples have been taken. This depends on the selected
option (see Explanation of the Sampling Settings in T4C). When the samples are only being taken for cell
count tests, then sampling can be completed as soon as a sample has been taken from every cow. A single
sample is often sufficient when using individual sampling.
5.5.1 Disconnecting the Shuttle Sampling Device
5.5.1.1 Astronaut A4
Disconnect the Sampling Tube from the Milk Jar
1. Take the robot unit out of operation with the E-link.
2. On the E-Link select:
1. Tab Sampling.
2. Turn sampling off.
3. When the pop-up window Confirm stop sampling appears, select Stop.
