4-4 Description and Operation
To be sure of correct sampling, it is essential that the milking of all cows takes place
smoothly, i.g. without interruptions either before or after the samples are taken.
4.2.2 Recording Milk Yield and Sample Details
• Details of the sampled milk must be recorded, otherwise the samples will be untraceable.
• The details to be recorded are:
• Cow number.
• Time of sampling.
• Time of previous milking or the time the cow has needed to produce the measured quantity of milk.
• The location of the sample bottle.
