7-2 Troubleshooting
Problem Possible cause
• Examine if the serrated frame is straight
(see Examine the Serrated Frame).
• The spoon is overfilled; milk is overflowing the
spoon.
• Examine the period of milk delivery during
sampling.
Sample volume is too large.
• Filler elbow pipe is too short.
• Modify the volume of sample taken (see
Examine if the Float Chamber Contains the
Correct Volume).
The valve in the spoon is spilling.
• The O-ring of the valve is worn.
• Replace the O-ring.
• The serrated frame is no longer in a level
position, causing the valve in the spoon to hit
the position plate and to open up.
• Put the serrated frame in a level position
(see Examine the serrated Frame).
