ToinstalltheSDmodule,dothefollowing:
1.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.If
theserverisintowerformfactor,laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage72.
4.Removethecoolingshroud.See“Removingthecoolingshroud”onpage75.
5.Removeanypartsanddisconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouroperation.
6.LocatetheSD-moduleconnectoronthesystemboard.See“Systemboardcomponents”onpage47.
7.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheSDmoduletoanyunpaintedsurfaceonthe
outsideoftheserver.Then,taketheSDmoduleoutofthepackage.
8.InserttheSDcardintotheSDcardslot.ThecardmightstopbeforeitiscompletelyinstalledintotheSD
module.Ensurethatyouinsertthecardfirmlyuntilyouhearaclick.
9.EnsurethatthetwoholesintheSDmodulearealignedwiththetwoplasticpinsonthesystemboard.
Then,lowertheSDmodulestraightdownuntilitissecurelyseated.
