ToinstalltheRAID110iupgradekey,dothefollowing:
Attention:InstallingtheRAID110iupgradekeymightimpactyourRAIDconfigurations.Backupyourdata
beforeyoubegintoavoidanydatalossduetoaRAIDconfigurationchange.
1.Removeallexternalmediafromthedrivesandturnoffallattacheddevicesandtheserver.Then,
disconnectallpowercordsfromelectricaloutletsanddisconnectallcablesthatareconnectedto
theserver.
2.Iftheserverisinstalledinarackcabinet,removetheserverfromtherackcabinetandplaceitonaflat,
clean,andstatic-protectivesurface.SeetheRackInstallationInstructionsthatcomeswiththeserver.If
theserverisintowerformfactor,laytheserveronitssideforeasieroperation.
3.Removetheservercover.See“Removingtheservercover”onpage72.
4.Removethecoolingshroud.See“Removingthecoolingshroud”onpage75.
5.Touchthestatic-protectivepackagethatcontainstheRAID110iupgradekeytoanyunpaintedsurface
ontheoutsideoftheserver.Then,taketheRAID110iupgradekeyoutofthepackage.
