Particulate Contamination
Attention:Airborneparticulates(includingmetalflakesorparticles)andreactive
gasesactingaloneorincombinationwithotherenvironmentalfactorssuchas
humidityortemperaturemightposearisktothedevicethatisdescribedinthis
document.
Risksthatareposedbythepresenceofexcessiveparticulatelevelsor
concentrations
ofharmfulgasesincludedamagethatmightcausethedeviceto
malfunctionorceasefunctioningaltogether.Thissp ecificationsetsforthlimitsfor
particulatesandgasesthatareintendedtoavoidsuchdamage.Thelimitsmustnot
beviewedorusedasdefinitivelimits,becausenumerousotherfactors,suchas
temperatureor
moisturecontentoftheair,caninfluencetheimpactofparticulates
orenvironmentalcorrosivesandgaseouscontaminanttransfer.Intheabsenceof
specificlimitsthataresetforthinthisdocument,youmustimplementpractices
thatmaintainparticulateandgaslevelsthatareconsistentwiththeprotectionof
humanhealth
andsafety.IfLenovodeterminesthatthelevelsofparticulatesor
gasesinyourenvironmenthavecauseddamagetothedevice,Lenovomay
conditionprovisionofrepairorreplacementofdevicesorpartsonimplementation
ofappropriateremedialmeasurestomitigatesuchenvironmentalcontamination.
