Default Configuration Files
Theswitchfirmwarecontainsdefaultconfigurationfilesthatareloadedatthe
factory.Whentheswitchfirstinitializes,thedefaultconfigurationfilesareloaded
intotheactiveswitchmemory.Thedefaultsettingsallowtheswitchtoperform
basicfunctionswithminimal effortbythesystemadministrator.
Customconfigurationsettingsmadeby
theadministratorwilloverridethedefault
settingsandcanbesavedsothattheyareretainediftheswitchisrebooted.
However,ifdesired,youcanrevertthecustomconfiguration settingstothe
originalfactorydefaults.Theoriginalfactorydefaultconfigurationfilesarea
permanentpartofthefirmware;youcannot
deletedthemorchangetheiroriginal
definitions.
