2.12.17.6 OH - Heatsink temperature monitoring (fixed)

MCTRL_bKuehlGreaterSetValue_b is derived from a comparator with hysteresis. The switch-off
threshold ad the hysteresis are fixed.
• The switch-off threshold is 85 ºC
• The hysteresis is 5 K, i.e. the temperature when it will be switched on again is 80 ºC.
Tripping can have the following causes:
Cause Remedy
The ambient temperature is too high. Install a blower into the switch cabinet.
The controller is overloaded in its arithmetic mean,
i.e. overload and recovery phase exceed 100%.
• Install a blower into the switch cabinet.
• Shorten overload phase.
• Useamorepowerfuldrive.

This function protects the motor from overheating.

MCTRL_bMotorTempGreaterSetValue_b is derived from a comparator with hysteresis. The
switch-off threshold ad the hysteresis are fixed.
• The switch-off threshold is 150 ºC
• The hysteresis is 15 K, i.e. the temperature when it will be switched on again is 135 ºC.
This monitoring is only effective for the thermal sensor specified by Lenze as it is included in the
standard Lenze servo motor.
• The Sub-D connectors X7 or X8 serve as inputs.
Stop!
The temperature sensor must only be connected to X7 or X8, the other input for the temperature
sensor must not be used.
This monitoring is active in default setting and is thus triggered when you do not connect a Lenze
servo motor!
