2.12.17.11 Sd2 - Resolver monitoring for open circuit
This function monitors the resolver cable and the resolver for open circuits and protects the motor.

If the monitoring is switched off, the machine can reach very high speeds in the event of an error (e.g.
system cable not connected or not screwed properly). These high speeds can damage or destroy
the motor or the driven machine. The same applies if “Warning” is set as response.
• For commissioning we recommend to use the default setting (TRIP) for C0856.
• The possibility of switching off via C0856 should only be used if the monitoring is triggered
without any obvious reason (e.g. because of long cables or strong interferences caused by
other devices).
If an error is detected in the actual speed detection, the overspeed monitoring (NMAX)may not react
as expected.
• The monitoring will be automatically activated, if the resolver is selected as actual speed
encoder under C0025, and deactivated with any other actual speed encoder.
