Attention!
It is absolutely necessary to connect functional earth, since all electrical interference (EM
pick-up) is discharged via the functional earth connection.
5.3.4 Termination of the RS 485 interface
A permanently installed termination network is present in the MA 8-01. The network termi-
nates the outgoing RS 485 data interface, as shown in figure 5.2, and cannot be switched
off.
