Connection cable shield.
The shield of the connection cable is on the
thread of the M12 plug or on the screw fitting of
the cable bushing.
The thread or the screw fitting is part of the
metallic housing. The housing is at the potential
of the functional earth via pin 5.

Use ready-made connection cables!
 If possible, use the ready-made cables from Leuze electronic; see table 14.4.
NOTICE
Data cables for the SSI interface!
 Use only shielded and twisted-pair cables as data line for the SSI interface.
Twisting: pin 1 with 2, pin 3 with 4
The shield must be connected at both ends.
