4. Remove the screw (B), then ease the carrier fan off the printer.
Carrier motor assembly removal
1. Remove the rear cover. See “Covers, rear removal” on page 4-5.
2. Remove the top cover. See “Covers, top removal” on page 4-5.
3. Remove the sensor (head gap and home position). See “Sensor (head gap and home position)” on
page 4-34.
4. Remove the forms thickness lever. See “Forms thickness lever removal” on page 4-19.
5. Loosen the carrier belt:
5.1 Loosen the tension screw (A).
5.2 Remove tension from the carrier belt by pulling up on the belt.
5.3 Tighten the tension screw (A). (Loosening the screw tightens the belt.)
6. Slip the belt off the carrier motor pulley.
