If you are downloading via the Router Card Ethernet Port, you will have to set up the LAN-WAN Port System
first. The sample setup we used is shown below. Our Router Card was in Port H of the Loop-V 4200-9 and
we set LAN1 and LAN 2 to Ethernet. WAN 1 is set at HDLC.
NOTE:
If you are only using one Router Card in the Loop-V 4200-9 you do not need to enable any RIP
protocols. If you are using more than one Router Card and you want those cards to communicate
with each other then you must enable either RIP 1 for RIP 11 on the Port System (LAN1-WAN16)
Setup screen. Make sure all the Router cards you enable for this purpose are enabled to the same
RIP designation.
