NOTE:
When new firmware is downloaded to a Loop-V 4200-9 that has its current firmware in BANK 1, the
new firmware is not activated until the Loop-V 4200-9 is rebooted. Upon reboot the newly
downloaded firmware will automatically be switched to BANK 2 and it will become the new current
firmware, Similarly, if the current firmware is in BANK 2, the newly downloaded firmware will be
switched to BANK 1 upon rebooting. BANKS only switch after a download occurs and the Loop-V
4200-9 is rebooted.
After the downloading is successfully completed and a reboot takes place, the newly downloaded firmware
will be called the current firmware. The previous firmware will be stored in the other BANK for backup. If a
download fails and the user wishes to revert to the previous firmware, instructions for doing so can be found
in Section 9.2 of this appendix.
