1. Cover Liftgate with welding blanket (FIG. 31-1).
STEP 1 - INSTALLING LIFTGATE ON TRUCKS
Use welding blankets to protect lines and tubes from weld spatter.

NOTE: Ensure vertical channels on the installation jig are short enough to prevent
interference with underbody of vehicle.
