11 Operation
11.1 Commissioning
To avoid damage to the installation or dangerous injuries during the commissioning of the
machine, please observe the following requirements:
The installation may only be commissioned by suitably qualified persons observing
the safety instructions.
The relevant accident prevention regulations for continuous conveyors (VBG10) must
be adhered to when operating the conveyor system.
Before starting it up for the first time, check that all tools and foreign bodies are re-
moved from the installation.
Activate all the safety systems and EMERGENCY STOP switches before commis-
sioning the installation.
Please also read the chapter on "general safety instructions".
Please also read the additional "touch panel user manual".
Commissioning and training will be handled and provided by the service technicians who
assemble the installation. The operator must not use the installation before completing
training.
11.2 Operation
Usually, the trays carrying tableware are returned at the start of the conveying system and
conveyed to the pot wash.
There, the trays and tableware are sorted and stacked in the dishwashing machine.
The installation is switched on and off at the cleaning and sorting station in the pot wash
area.
Depending on the clearing system, a height limiting light barrier or pin limit switch is in-
stalled at the end.
Special functions such as the queuing function, etc., are described separately.
Since conveying systems may extend through different rooms or floors, the installation is
split into separate operational areas.
This is necessary so that individual EMERGENCY STOP activations do not have to stop
the entire conveying system for safety reasons.
Example of separation of operational areas:
Tray infeed station
Vertical conveyor
Pot wash area
Dishwashing machine
Do not reach under the belts during operation.
