Check there is a hazard warning sign on the access doors
if it is an enclosed vertical conveyor (see 9552501) and
behind the cladding doors on the vertical conveyor (see
9548718)
16 Vertical conveyor documentation
Please observe the additional documentation belonging to the vertical conveyor provided
by NERAK.
17 Fire protection
Conveying systems which pass between fire areas on their route must be fitted with an
appropriate fire barrier.
We are happy to advise on this matter if required.
18 Folding conveyor table
A folding conveyor table is used when an access route is needed through the conveying sys-
tem. This could be for maintenance, inspection, access to a work station or as an emergency
exit.
Function:
The folding conveyor table is fitted with two pneumatic springs to take the majority of the
conveyor table's weight when it is folded. Further, two handles are fitted on the side to aid
opening and closing. A contact switch turns off the conveyor belt before the folding table is
opened
Opening:
Firmly grip the side handle and swing upwards into the limit position. Only release the han-
dle once the top limit position has been reached.
Closing:
Firmly grip the side handle and smoothly swing downwards. Only release the handle once
the bottom limit position has been reached and the support bracket is sitting on the con-
veyor table.
Safety notice:
The folding table must never be swung open or closed without a guiding hand on the han-
dle.
If this happens, the user becomes liable for any damage.
