Thelanekeepingassistsystemisanauxiliary
systemthatprovidesassistancetothedriver.
ItdoesNOTremovetheresponsibilityof
safedrivingfromthedriver.Whenchoosing
tousethelanekeepingassistsystem,the
driverMUSTalwayspayattentiontothe
surroundings,holdthesteeringwheelandbe
preparedtomakemanoeuvresatanytime.
Failuretomaintainoverallcontrolofthe
vehiclemayresultinanaccidentorpersonal
injury.
Thelanekeepingassistsystemdoesnot
alwaysrecognisethelaneline.Sometimes
poorroadsurfaces,certainroadstructures
orobjectsmaybemistakenforlanelines.
Whensuchsituationsoccur,thelanekeeping
assistsystemmustbeimmediatelyturnedoff.
Thelanekeepingassistsystemusesthefrontviewcamera
todetectthelanelinesaheadofthevehicle.Thesystem
willoperatewhenthefollowingdetectionconditionsare
met:
•ThefunctionisswitchedON.
•Vehiclespeedisabove37mph(60km/h).
•Lanelinemarkingsareclear.
Aslongasthesystemrecognisestwolanelineson
bothsidestheindicatorlampintheinstrumentpack
willilluminategreen.Thesystemwillalwaysattemptto
maintainthevehiclepositioninthecentreofthelane
byusingcorrectivesteeringinterventions.Ifthevehicle
deviatesfromthelanelinesthesystemwillactivatethe
lanedeparturewarningfunctiontoalertthedriverthat
thevehiclehasdeviatedfromthelane.Thedrivercan
takecorrectiveactionatanytime.Thefunctionwill
automaticallyexitwhenthevehiclespeeddropsbelow
33mph(55km/h).
Intheabsenceofasteeringinputfromthedriverforsome
seconds,anacousticwarningisprovided,theinstrument
packprovidesayellowprompt.Ifthesystemstillfailsto
seeaninputfromthedriver,theacousticwarningbecomes
continuousandthepromptilluminatesred.Ifthesystem
stillfailstodetectaninputfromthedriver,itwillassume
