3 APPLICATION INSTALLATION
Configure an Ethernet port on the computer to communicate with the analyzer. The IP address must
be 192.168.77.100. Reference the computer operator manual for instructions on changing the
IPaddress.
The person installing the application must have Windows Administrator rights.The
administrator must create profiles for all users running Micromeritics TriStar IIConfirm.
The installation media contains the Micromeritics application and the Administrator Utility application.
The following tasks must be completed prior to application installation:
l The Ethernet port for the analyzer must be set to 192.168.77.100
l Connect the analyzer to the configured port
l The analyzer must be powered ON
If installing multiple analyzers, connect the Ethernet switch to the configured port and
the analyzers to the Ethernet switch. Refer to Connect Ethernet Cable on page2 - 1.
1. The Windows Administrator must create profiles for all users running the Confirm application.
Use the worksheet User Information Worksheet on pageB - 3 to record these profiles.
2. Insert the installation media into the computer. If the setup program does not immediately
start, navigate to the media device, then locate and double click the setup.exe file.
3. Click Next on the Welcome window. Do not proceed with this installation until all listed tasks
have been completed. Click OK.
