CREATE PASSWORD CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS
The Password parameters entered here apply to all Micromeritics application users.
On the Administrator Utility window, click the Configuration tab.
Field Description
Expire
Enter the number of days when a user password will expire. This num-
ber of days goes into effect any time a password is changed. A zero
entry indicates the passwords will not expire.
Warn
Enter the number of days prior to password expiration that a user will
be notified to change his password. A zero entry indicates this warning
will not be given.
Remember
Enter the number of previous passwords to be stored in the password
history file for each user. This file is checked when a user enters a new
password to ensure that the password is unique. A zero entry indicates
this feature will not be used.
Disable account after
Enter the number of times a user will be allowed to enter an invalid
password when attempting to log in before the application is locked. A
zero entry indicates this feature will not be used.
Must match Windows
user
Select to indicate the User ID must match the user Windows ID and
the user must be logged in to the Windows application. This ensures
that only the current Windows user can operate the Micromeritics
application. Otherwise, any user with the same access level
(Developer or Analyst) can log in to the application.
Application locked
This field is selected when the application is locked. The application
locks automatically when the specified number of failed logon attempts
is reached.
