CREATE SAMPLE FILES
Sample files can be created in advance or at the time of analysis by either the Developer or Analyst.
ANALYST
An Analyst can create sample files by selecting predefined parameter files. An Analyst can switch to
Advanced presentation option to view details of the parameter files, but cannot edit the files.
1. Go to File > New > Sample Information.
2. Select a template to use, then click Create.
3. Complete the fields from the following table.
Fields Description
Sample
Enter or edit the description for the analysis.
Mass
Enter the sample mass.
Density
Enter the sample density. This value is applicable only when using the
Calculated free-space method.
Analyst Fields
4. Click the down arrow to the right of each of the following to select parameter files:
l Sample Tube
l Degas Conditions (if using a SmartPrep degasser)
l Analysis Conditions
l Adsorptive Properties
l Report Options
Click Advanced to view the contents of the selected files.
5. Click Save and complete the Save As options.
6. Click Close.
