Image Optimization 5-33
5.9.3 TDI Image Optimization
In each TDI mode, parameters that can be adjusted are similar to those in the color flow modes
(Color, PW, and Power); please refer to the relevant sections for details. The following is to
introduce the specific items in TDI mode.
Tissue State
This function is used for fast image optimization.
Adjust through the [Tissue State] item on the touch screen.
There are 3 levels provided to adjust: L, M, H.
5.9.4 TDI Quantitative Analysis (QA)
TDI Quantitative Analysis results are provided for reference only, not
for confirming a diagnosis. Please compare the results with that of
other machines, or make diagnosis using none-ultrasound methods.
For a better analysis result, please perform strain or strain rate analysis based
on images with ECG curves.
NOTE: TDI Quantitative Analysis is option.
TDI QA is applied for TVI original data analysis, for evaluating the velocity change of the same
cardiac muscle with cardiac cycles.
The system provides 3 kinds of curves for quantitative analysis:
Speed – Time curve;
Strain – Time curve;
Strain Rate – Time curve.
Deformation and displacement of the tissue within the specified time.
Speed of the deformation, as myocardial variability will result in velocity gradient, strain
rate is used commonly to evaluate how fast the tissue is deforming.
Workflow of TDI QA:
1. Perform image scanning on cardiac muscle, freeze the image and select a range of images for
analysis; or select a desired cine loop from the stored images.
Tips:
Images from the current scan session (already in freeze mode) or from a saved image
loop can be used for TDI QA.
TDI QA is only available if the user has selected an image loop. If the user has selected a
saved still image (just one frame), TDI QA function is not available.
2. Click [TDI QA] on the TVI touch screen page to activate TDI QA function.
3. Mark out the interesting part.
4. Select quantitative analysis curve: touch [Speed] / [Strain Rate] / [Strain] to select.
5. Save the curved image, export the data and do parameter analysis.
6. Exit TDI QA function.
Press <Freeze> or <B> on the control panel.
