In Run mode, the brine flow is adjusted to achieve and maintain a constant electrical Current
Set
Point (CSP) to the cell.
Self-Cleaning Mode
For Mixed Oxidant Solution (MOS) configurations M1-M5, the requirements to enter into a self-
cleaning mode are based upon number of hours of operations since initial startup or last cleaning.
For instances when the hours of operation are reached as a self-cleaning is required, the self-
cleaning mode will occur after the system transitions from standby, but prior to entering into
run mode upon completion of the self-clean. The system returns to normal run mode with a
standard start up. Self-cleaning mode is not available on Hypo (H1-H5) configurations. Refer to
Acid Wash Cell Procedure (P/N: 102-00009) for details on a manual acid wash of the cell.
Water Cycle Mode
Water Cycle mode is entered only if the Cell Power contactor fails. The water solenoid valve will
cycle on/off. This operation is to protect the cell and its plumbing from high temperatures.
Water will flow at half of target flow rate to the oxidant tank and dilution will occur. The OSG
will remain in this mode until power is reset.
Stop Mode
The operator can access Stop mode by placing the Run/Stop switch into the Stop position (push
in switch to ratchet switch out). If Stop mode is accessed from Startup/Run mode, the OSG
will shut down with a Soft Fault. To return to Startup/Run mode, return the Run/Stop switch to
the Run position.
Setup Mode
Setup mode allows the operator to designate the values of user specified parameters on the
Operator Interface (OI).
Diagnostic Mode
Diagnostic mode allows the user to individually test each system’s output. Diagnostic mode
is only accessible from the Stop position of the Run/Stop switch. Diagnostic mode is accessed
from a button on the main screen. Once in Diagnostic Mode, the operator can toggle I/O on/off.
Once the operator leaves the Diagnostic page, all I/O reset to off.
Shutdown Mode
There are two types of Shutdown modes from the Startup/Run mode:
1. Normal Shutdown - is used when the system is shutting down for a fault that causes
the OSG to shutdown normally. Normal shutdown includes a purge function to clear
brine from the cell.
