Pounds Per Square Inch Gauge (psig) - Pressure measured with respect to
that of the atmosphere. This is a pressure gauge reading in which the
gauge is adjusted to read zero at the surrounding atmospheric pressure. It
is commonly called gauge pressure.
Roadside - This refers to the side of the motorhome which faces the road
when it is parked. Often called the off-door side or the driver’s side.
Shore Line - This is the electrical cord which runs from the motorhome to
the campground 120 Volt electrical supply.
Shore Line Plug - The 120 Volt outlet allows the motorhome to be hooked
up to a campground facility.
Stinger - An arm attachment on a tow truck that is used to lift motorhome
slightly so that it can be towed.
Volt - The unit of measure for electric potential.
Watt - The unit for measuring electrical power, i.e. the rate of doing work, in
moving electrons by or against an electric potential.
Wet Cell Battery - A type of battery that uses liquid as an electrolyte. This
type of battery requires periodic maintenance such as cleaning the
connections and checking the electrolyte level.
