7. Maintenance
NOTE
•
Pleaserequestyourdistributortoperformcleaningoftheprojectorinside.
❶ Cleaning the Cabinet
WARNING
• Please do not use a spray
containingammablegastoremovedust attached to the cabinet,etc.Doingsomay
resultinres.
Be sure toalwayscheckthattheACpowersupply of the projector is disconnected beforecarryingoutmaintenance
of the projector.
• Wipewithadry, soft cloth without nap.
Whenthecabinetisexcessively dirty, wipe with clothwellwrungafterbeingdampenedwithaneutraldetergent
diluted with water andthennishupwith a dry cloth.
When you use a chemical dust cloth, follow the instructions in the manual attached to it.
• Do not use a solvent, such as thinner or benzene.Thecoatingmaydeteriorate or peel off.
• Whenremovingdust on the ventilationopening,suckitoffusinganadapter with a brush on a vacuum cleaner.
Never allow the cleaner without an adapter to come into direct contact or use a nozzles adapter in cleaning.
• Cleantheventilationopeningatregularintervals.Dust, if allowed to accumulate there, maycauseheatinginside,
which leads to functionaltrouble.The interval, which can vary with the location of your projector, is about 100 hours.
• Donotdamage the cabinet by scratchingitorallowinghardobjectstohitit.Thiscanscratch the projector.
• Consultyourdealer/distributor about cleaningtheinsideof the projector.
NOTE

Donotallowinsecticideorothervolatileliquidtosplashonthecabinet,lensorscreen.Also,donotallowanyrubberorplastic
objecttoremainincontactwiththecabinetforalongtime.Thecoatingmaydeteriorateorpeeloff.
❷ Cleaning the Lens
Cleanthelensthe same way as withcameralens(usinga commercially available camera blower orcleaningpaper
forglasses).Takecarenottodamagethelenswhencleaning.

Donotlookintothelightsource while the projectorisON.Stronglightisemittedfromtheprojectorand visual
impairment could result.

CAUTION

Beforecleaningthelens,rst turn off the power,makesurethecoolingfanhascompletely stopped, then turn
offtheACpower.Makesuretheunit has cooled down completely before cleaningthelens.
