5-62 Installing Options
one 3 1/2-inch internal hard drive bay (1-inch high,
thin-height)
two 5 1/4-inch accessible device bays (1.6-inch high,
half-height)
minitower system six bays
one 3 1/2-inch accessible device bay that contains the
standard 1.44-MB diskette drive
two 3 1/2-inch internal hard drive bays (1-inch high,
thin-height)
three 5 1/4-inch accessible device bays (1.6-inch high,
half-height)
Depending on your configuration, one accessible device bay
might contain a CD-ROM drive or other storage device.
If the system has other accessible bays, they support devices
with 5 1/4-inch form factors (frames).
With the 5 1/4-inch frame, you can install the following
devices in the 5 1/4-inch bays:
tape drive
CD-ROM drive
PC card adapter
Zip drive.
The accessible bays are not limited to devices with removable
media. For example, you can install a hard drive with a
5 1/4-inch frame in one of these bays.
A 5 1/4-inch bay can also accommodate a 3 1/2-inch device if
the device is housed in a 5 1/4-inch frame.
