Replacing a SVP Service Processor

WARNING
The SVP Service Processor contains a lithium battery. Do
not remove the lithium battery. Contact your sales agent.
The lithium battery may explode when it is brought close to
heat or fire or immersed in water. Dispose of lithium
batteries as required by local ordinance or as normal waste
if no local ordinance exists. Keep all batteries away from
children.
If a SVP service processor is defective, the SERVICE LED on the disk array
unit front panel lights orange (see Figure 1-7). In addition, the FAULT LED on
the SVP service processor lights orange (see Figure 1-12, D). The defective SVP
service processor may be replaced with the power of the disk array unit
remaining ON.
Replacement Procedure
1. Disconnect the cables connected to the SVP service processor.
2. Loosen a screw securing the SVP service processor to the chassis. See
Figure 3-11.

3. Grasp the points shown in Figure 3-12 and pull the SVP Service Processor
toward you. Remove the SVP Service Processor.
