Table 5-3. ISDN menu tab fields (North America)
Field Description
DN1 and DN2 These are the telephone number(s) assigned to your ISDN line by your telephone
company. Some lines have only one telephone number. For North America, these
phone numbers must be in a standard seven-digit local format (for example,
5551212). Enter up to 19 digits, and do not include dashes ( - ) or spaces in this field.
Analog Call For each DN, select how an incoming analog call to that number is handled. Choose
one of the following options:
• Phone 1: Analog calls are directed to the Phone 1 port.
• Phone 2: Analog calls are directed to the Phone 2 port.
• DOSBS: Analog calls are assumed to be data calls using DOSBS.
Switch type Select the type of ISDN switch or protocol used by your telephone company. If the
switch is running National ISDN Protocol, select National ISDN regardless of the
switch manufacturer.
SPID1 and SPID2 Enter the Service Profile Identifier (SPID) numbers provided by your telephone
company. SPIDs are not required for the AT&T 5ESS Custom Point-to-Point Protocol.
