What to do if buttons to operate motorized devices do not appear on my Nikon Control Unit?
    • H
      Heather ShawAug 26, 2025
If the buttons to operate the motorized devices or the configuration screen for motorized devices do not appear (excluding the digital camera and motorized shutter connected to the DSC connector), it could be due to a couple of reasons. For Ni-E and Ni-U, the system configuration might be set not to display the buttons, so change the layout of buttons. Also, the devices might not be connected properly. Turn off the microscope, motorized accessory devices, and DS-L4, then correctly connect or attach motorized devices to the microscope.

If capturing with a digital camera cannot be started, the camera trigger cable might not be properly connected. Turn off the microscope, DS-L4, and the camera, then reconnect the camera trigger cable of the digital camera to the microscope. Also, the connection of the digital camera might not be configured correctly. Check the connection between the digital camera and the DSC connector, and configure the system accordingly.
