19 Hyperscanning
19.1 Setting up Hyperscanning
NIRStar offers a Hyperscanning mode to study functional neurovascular activation on two people
simultaneously (see Figure 82).
The Hyperscanning mode is accessible in Channel Setup tab of the Hardware Configuration GUI, provided
that valid numbers of sources and detectors are available. Hyperscanning mode requires that no
detector bundle (four channels) or Source bundle (eight sources) be split between subjects. Therefore,
