Half of the label prints faded or only half of the label prints
Possible Problem Solution
Print head not clicked in firmly on
both sides
Open and close the print head
making sure both sides click in
place.
Abnormal print out with lines or scratches
Possible Problem Solution
Damaged ribbon (creased,
folded,scratched)
Advance and check ribbon. Make
sure it is taut.
Recovery
In order to continue your print jobs after any abnormal conditions have been recovered,
simply press the panel button or switch the printer off for 10 seconds and then switch the
power on again. Make sure that the LED is not blinking and remember to resend your
files.
Maintenance
Before performing any maintenance on the printer, please be sure to turn off the
printer power.
Cleaning the print head
1. Turn off the printer. Open the top cover and release the print head by pressing
the two purple buttons.
2. Remove the ribbon
3. Using the Thermal Cleaning Pen provided (included in starter kit #UPCP724)
wipe from left to right, ensuring all visible traces of adhesive and ribbon deposits
are removed. Do not
wipe the print head back and forth.
Note: The print head should be cleaned at least every time the ribbon is replaced or if
there is any deterioration in print quality ie. lines, speckles.
Cleaning the printer exterior
1. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe the printer exterior
