8.4 Switch-on cycle
Depending on the version of the FI, various internal relays are used in the power circuit. Because of
this, a switch-on block is integrated into the FI to protect the relays against overload during long
acceleration phases and large motor currents.
The switch-on block is triggered by a timer, which starts immediately after the frequency inverter is
switched on (enabled). The timer setting depends on the rated current of the motor and the
acceleration time.
The maximum blocking time between two switch-on procedures is 1 second.
