If more than one key on the keypad of your Nordson Paint Sprayer quits working when pressed, the flex connection from the keypad to the main board may not be seated properly. Loosen and re-seat the flex circuit on the main board, making sure the flex cable is fully inserted into the connector. To loosen the flex circuit, gently pull the black bar on the cable connector away from the white connector. This will allow you to adjust the flex cable to ensure proper seating. The cable should be inserted past the white line marked towards the end of the cable. Push the black bar back into the white connector to secure.

Why is there no powder flow from my Nordson Encore LT Paint Sprayer when the gun is triggered, but kV is OK?
S
Sue SchwartzAug 25, 2025
If there is no powder flow from your Nordson Paint Sprayer when the gun is triggered but the kV is okay, it could be that the Flow Air or Total Flow is set to zero. Change these settings to a non-zero number. Another possibility is that the input air is turned OFF. Make sure air is being supplied to the controller.

Why is my Nordson Paint Sprayer not spraying powder and the trigger LED is blinking?
M
Matthew EvansAug 26, 2025
If your Nordson Paint Sprayer is not spraying powder and the trigger LED is blinking, it could be due to a few reasons. The gun may have been triggered while the controller was powering up or waking up, or there might be a shorted trigger switch or cable. Try releasing the spray trigger, then press the Disable/Enable button to put the controller to sleep, and then press it again to wake it up. Also, check the cable and trigger switch for any issues.

Why does my Nordson Encore LT Paint Sprayer have an uneven spray pattern?
J
Jeremy PhillipsAug 26, 2025
An uneven pattern, unsteady, or inadequate powder flow in your Nordson Paint Sprayer can be caused by several factors. It could be due to a blockage in the spray gun, powder hose, or pump. Try purging the spray gun, cleaning the nozzle and electrode assembly, and blowing out the powder hose. Also, disassemble and clean the pump, inlet and outlet tubes, and elbow of the spray gun. Replace components as needed. Other causes include a worn nozzle, deflector, or electrode assembly, damp powder, low atomizing or flow air pressure, or improper fluidization of powder in the hopper. Consider checking and correcting these potential issues.

What to do if my Nordson Encore LT Paint Sprayer has low or surging powder flow?
V
victoria69Aug 27, 2025
Low or surging powder flow in your Nordson Paint Sprayer can stem from several issues. Ensure the input air pressure is above 4.1 bar (60 psi). Check for a plugged supply air filter or a full filter bowl, and address any water contamination. Inspect for a plugged flow air valve or any kinks in the air tubing. Other potential causes include a worn pump throat, incorrect pump assembly, a blocked pick-up tube, or incorrect vibratory box feeder settings. Also, examine the powder hose for blockages, kinks, or incorrect length/diameter. Finally, inspect the gun powder path for obstructions and verify that the flow and atomizing air tubing connections are correct.

How to improve wrap and transfer efficiency on Nordson Paint Sprayer?
S
scottwilliamAug 28, 2025
To improve wrap and transfer efficiency on your Nordson Paint Sprayer, first, increase the electrostatic voltage. Also, examine the electrode connection by cleaning the electrode and checking for damage. Check the electrode resistance. Finally, make sure parts are properly grounded by checking the conveyor chain, rollers, and part hangers for powder buildup, ensuring resistance between parts and ground is 1 megohm or less (500 ohms or less is recommended for best results).

What to do if powder is not charging on Nordson Encore LT and kV/A display is blinking?
B
barronmarkSep 13, 2025
If the powder on your Nordson Paint Sprayer is not charging and the kV/A display is blinking, the gun might be shorted. Check the gun cable and power supply. Refer to your system manual for further assistance.

Why is there no purge air when I press the purge switch on my Nordson Paint Sprayer?
H
humphreykyleSep 8, 2025
If there is no purge air when you press the gun purge switch on your Nordson Paint Sprayer, it could be due to a malfunctioning spray gun trigger switch or cable, or controller manifold purge solenoid valve; no air pressure, or kinked air tubing. If the controller interface does not display P when the purge switch is pressed, the gun trigger switch may be defective. Perform the Gun Cable Continuity Test. If the cable is good, replace the trigger switch. If the interface displays P when the purge switch is pressed, check the purge air tubing and purge manifold solenoid valve.

How to prevent powder buildup on the electrode tip of my Nordson Encore LT?
K
Kevin GomezSep 5, 2025
Powder buildup on the electrode tip of your Nordson Paint Sprayer can be caused by insufficient electrode air wash flow due to low input pressure or blockage in the manifold orifice. Check input air pressure. Remove the electrode air wash connector and check the manifold orifice for blockage. The orifice size is .25?.3 mm. Clean with an appropriate tool.

What to do if my Nordson Paint Sprayer has no kV output (kV=0) but powder is spraying?
A
Alejandra PerezSep 3, 2025
If your Nordson Paint Sprayer has no kV output (kV=0) but powder is spraying, it could be due to a damaged gun cable. Perform the Gun Cable Continuity Checks. If an open or short is found, replace the cable. Another possibility is that the spray gun power supply is shorted. Perform the Power Supply Resistance Test.
