Why do multiple keys on my Nordson Paint Sprayer keypad stop working when pressed?
    • L
      lisajohnsonSep 23, 2025
If more than one key on the keypad of your Nordson Paint Sprayer quits working when pressed, the flex connection from the keypad to the main board might not be seated properly. Loosen and re-seat the flex circuit on the main board, ensuring the ribbon cable is fully inserted into the J8 connector. See operator’s manual for more information.

Why is there no powder flow from my Nordson Encore LT Paint Sprayer when the gun is triggered, but kV is OK?
    • S
      Sue SchwartzAug 25, 2025
If there is no powder flow from your Nordson Paint Sprayer when the gun is triggered but the kV is okay, it could be that the Flow Air or Total Flow is set to zero. Change these settings to a non-zero number. Another possibility is that the input air is turned OFF. Make sure air is being supplied to the controller.

Why is my Nordson Paint Sprayer not spraying powder and the trigger LED is blinking?
    • M
      Matthew EvansAug 26, 2025
If your Nordson Paint Sprayer is not spraying powder and the trigger LED is blinking, it could be due to a few reasons. The gun may have been triggered while the controller was powering up or waking up, or there might be a shorted trigger switch or cable. Try releasing the spray trigger, then press the Disable/Enable button to put the controller to sleep, and then press it again to wake it up. Also, check the cable and trigger switch for any issues.

Why does my Nordson Encore LT Paint Sprayer have an uneven spray pattern?
    • J
      Jeremy PhillipsAug 26, 2025
An uneven pattern, unsteady, or inadequate powder flow in your Nordson Paint Sprayer can be caused by several factors. It could be due to a blockage in the spray gun, powder hose, or pump. Try purging the spray gun, cleaning the nozzle and electrode assembly, and blowing out the powder hose. Also, disassemble and clean the pump, inlet and outlet tubes, and elbow of the spray gun. Replace components as needed. Other causes include a worn nozzle, deflector, or electrode assembly, damp powder, low atomizing or flow air pressure, or improper fluidization of powder in the hopper. Consider checking and correcting these potential issues.

What to do if my Nordson Encore LT Paint Sprayer has low or surging powder flow?
    • V
      victoria69Aug 27, 2025
Low or surging powder flow in your Nordson Paint Sprayer can stem from several issues. Ensure the input air pressure is above 4.1 bar (60 psi). Check for a plugged supply air filter or a full filter bowl, and address any water contamination. Inspect for a plugged flow air valve or any kinks in the air tubing. Other potential causes include a worn pump throat, incorrect pump assembly, a blocked pick-up tube, or incorrect vibratory box feeder settings. Also, examine the powder hose for blockages, kinks, or incorrect length/diameter. Finally, inspect the gun powder path for obstructions and verify that the flow and atomizing air tubing connections are correct.

    • R
      Rodney McdanielSep 16, 2025
If your Nordson Paint Sprayer is not outputting kV, it could be due to a damaged gun cable or gun power supply. Check both the cable and the power supply to diagnose the issue.

Why is my Nordson Paint Sprayer producing an uneven pattern or inadequate powder flow?
    • R
      Robert CookSep 15, 2025
If you're experiencing an uneven pattern, unsteady, or inadequate powder flow with your Nordson Paint Sprayer, there are several possible causes: * There might be a blockage in the spray gun, powder feed hose, or pump. Try purging the gun and checking the feed hose and pump. * The nozzle, deflector, or electrode assembly could be worn. Remove, clean, and replace these parts as necessary. * Low pump air pressure can also cause these issues. Increase the pump air setpoints. * Low fluidizing air pressure can be another cause. Increase the air pressure. * The powder itself might be damp. Check the powder supply to ensure it is dry.

How to prevent powder buildup on the electrode tip of my Nordson Encore LT?
    • K
      Kevin GomezSep 5, 2025
Powder buildup on the electrode tip of your Nordson Paint Sprayer can be caused by insufficient electrode air wash flow due to low input pressure or blockage in the manifold orifice. Check input air pressure. Remove the electrode air wash connector and check the manifold orifice for blockage. The orifice size is .25?.3 mm. Clean with an appropriate tool.

What to do if my Nordson Paint Sprayer has no kV output (kV=0) but powder is spraying?
    • A
      Alejandra PerezSep 3, 2025
If your Nordson Paint Sprayer has no kV output (kV=0) but powder is spraying, it could be due to a damaged gun cable. Perform the Gun Cable Continuity Checks. If an open or short is found, replace the cable. Another possibility is that the spray gun power supply is shorted. Perform the Power Supply Resistance Test.
