  If the Fault LED lights up on your Nordson Controller, it indicates a detected fault (communication, spray gun cable, RAM, or hardware). If you have an odd number of spray guns in the system, unplug the unused harness and install the jumper plug shipped with the console. Ensure the card is properly seated in the backplane. Clear all faults on the Alarm screen. If the problem persists, the card may need replacement.

  If powder is escaping because the afterfilter fan isn't running, first, verify that the E-Stop hasn't been activated and reset it if needed. Check the final filters for clogs; if the pressure across them hits 3 in. w.c., the fan shuts off automatically. Inspect the cartridge filter media and gaskets for leaks, replacing any damaged filters. Also, inspect the fan motor control circuits, ensure the motor overload is correctly set, and check for obstructions. Examine the fuses and replace them if necessary. If none of these steps work, consider replacing the fan motor.

  If the reclaim or virgin transfer pump isn't running after being turned on, start by checking if the E-Stop button has been pressed and reset it if necessary. Make sure the afterfilter exhaust fan is running, and verify the fan interlock wiring. Ensure the sieve motor is running. Check the reclaim or virgin switch and wiring for any defects, repairing or replacing as needed. Try resetting the circuits by turning the Reclaim or Virgin switch Off and then On again. Check the air supply to the control manifold and the solenoid valve. Finally, inspect the level sensor and wiring, and examine the pump and controls.

  If powder is escaping from the Nordson Paint Sprayer enclosure openings, pulse the cartridge filters to blow off powder and check the pulse air pressure. Increase the pulse pressure to the recommended level. Replace the pulse valve if it has failed. Check the cartridge filter gaskets and media for damage, tighten the mounting nut, and replace filters if needed. Eliminate any cross drafts interfering with the exhaust fan. Ensure the fan rotation is correct by reversing the motor rotation. Finally, tighten all access panels and replace the panel gaskets if necessary.

  If there is no feed hopper fluidizing air, start the afterfilter exhaust fan and check the feed center E-Stop. Check the valve connections. Then, check the fan interlock wiring between the feed center panel and main system panel, and the wiring from the feed center panel to the solenoid valve assembly on top of the feed center air drop. Finally, check the fluidizing air regulator.
