  If the reclaim and/or virgin transfer pump purge cycle doesn't start when the Purge switch is turned to the Pump Purge position, ensure the reclaim and virgin transfer pumps are turned on. Check the switch and wiring, repairing or replacing as needed. Check for air output from solenoid valve SOL 340 (reclaim), SOL 342 (virgin). Check air supply to control manifold and cable wiring. Repair or replace as needed. Check pilot air tubing. Make sure air signal is reaching process valve in pump station. Check process valve operation and air supply to process valve. Repair or replace as needed.

  If the sieve or vibratory table is turned ON but there is no vibration, reset the E-Stop button. Start the exhaust fan. Check the switch and wiring, replacing or repairing as needed. Check for sieve motor overload: ensure nothing is preventing motor vibration, check the motor and electrical connections, and verify the motor internal weights. Reset the overload protector. If the issue persists, replace the sieve motor.

  If the reclaim or virgin transfer pump continues to run after being turned off, check the solenoid valve in the control manifold to ensure the manual operator on the valve is not in override position. If it's not in override, replace the valve, as it may have failed open.

  If the color change doesn't start when the Color Change switch is turned on and the light is off, reset the E-Stop button. Make sure the afterfilter exhaust fan is running and check the fan interlock wiring. Check the Color Change switch and wiring, repairing or replacing if needed.

  If the virgin transfer pump on your Nordson Paint Sprayer doesn't stop automatically, first, check the virgin powder supply. Then, adjust the feed hopper level sensor if it's not detecting powder. Finally, check the level sensor and wiring, repairing or replacing them as needed.

  If powder is escaping from the Nordson Paint Sprayer enclosure openings, pulse the cartridge filters to blow off powder and check the pulse air pressure. Increase the pulse pressure to the recommended level. Replace the pulse valve if it has failed. Check the cartridge filter gaskets and media for damage, tighten the mounting nut, and replace filters if needed. Eliminate any cross drafts interfering with the exhaust fan. Ensure the fan rotation is correct by reversing the motor rotation. Finally, tighten all access panels and replace the panel gaskets if necessary.

  If the reclaim or virgin transfer pump isn't running after being turned on, start by checking if the E-Stop button has been pressed and reset it if necessary. Make sure the afterfilter exhaust fan is running, and verify the fan interlock wiring. Ensure the sieve motor is running. Check the reclaim or virgin switch and wiring for any defects, repairing or replacing as needed. Try resetting the circuits by turning the Reclaim or Virgin switch Off and then On again. Check the air supply to the control manifold and the solenoid valve. Finally, inspect the level sensor and wiring, and examine the pump and controls.

  If powder is escaping because the afterfilter fan isn't running, first, verify that the E-Stop hasn't been activated and reset it if needed. Check the final filters for clogs; if the pressure across them hits 3 in. w.c., the fan shuts off automatically. Inspect the cartridge filter media and gaskets for leaks, replacing any damaged filters. Also, inspect the fan motor control circuits, ensure the motor overload is correctly set, and check for obstructions. Examine the fuses and replace them if necessary. If none of these steps work, consider replacing the fan motor.
