If it is set correctly, check if the printer is set to print at high speed and set the speed to normal. If the issue persists, the ribbon may be at the end of its life or not installed correctly; try replacing or reinstalling the ribbon cartridge. The ribbon may also be wound incorrectly or not transferring properly, in which case, replace the ribbon cartridge.
