7. Mechanical adjustment
7.1 Fold Angle Adjustment
NOTE
Make this adjustment after any of the following procedures has been performed.
• When the crease unit has been replaced.
• When a slant occurs in the crease.
1. Make a copy in the crease mode. (A3 size)
2. Fold the output paper along the
crease [1].
3. Fold the output paper and half and
measure the width A of the paper.
Specification: 0 ± 1.5 mm
4. If the fold position is slanted as
shown on the left, make the following
adjustment.
5. Open the front door, loosen the
adjustment screw [1], and move the
crease unit to the left to make the
adjustment.
Graduated in 1-mm divisions
• If the fold position is slanted opposite
to the figure of step 4, move the
crease unit to the right to make the
adjustment.
6. Make another copy and check the
fold position.
