• If the icon is not in the Notification Area, meaning the Device
Detector program is not running, continue with Step 2 to start this
program.
• If the icon is in the Notification Area, meaning the Device Detector
program is running, continue with Step 4.
2. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Program
Files\Olympus\ DeviceDetector. This is the location of the
executable file that you can use to start Device Detector.
3. In the right panel, locate and double-click DevDtct2.exe, which is the
program file that starts Device Detector. Skip Step 4 and continue with
Step 5.
Note: Don’t be confused by the difference between the file name
and the program name. It is correct that DevDtct2.exe is the
correct file name to start the Device Detector3 program.
4. Double-click the Device Detector3 icon in the Notification Area
to display the Setting dialog box.
