❖ Parental Control
You use the Parental Control menu to:
◆ block channels
◆ set viewing restrictions based on a programme’s age rating
◆ set purchase restrictions, and whether your PIN code is needed to purchase pay-
per-view events
◆ change your PIN code
About your PIN code
When you first use your box, your PIN code is 0000. In order to make your PIN code
secret, you should change it to another number that you will find easy to remember, but
difficult for others to guess (see page 30).
Entering your PIN code
There are several occasions when you may see a pop-up message asking you to enter your
PIN code, for example, before:
◆ using the Parental Control and System Setup menus
◆ being able to watch a blocked channel
◆ making a pay-per-view purchase
In all cases, use the number buttons to enter your PIN code (stars appear in place of the
actual digits), then press OK.
If you make a mistake while entering the PIN code, press L to delete one or more digits.
If you submit an incorrect PIN code, you will see a message asking you to try again.
