BASIC OPERATIONS
Activating USB Tethering
1. Connect the phone to a computer with the data cable.
2. Tap
> Settings > More... > Tethering & portable hotspot
> USB tethering.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Activating Wi-Fi Tethering
1. Tap > Settings > More... > Tethering & portable hotspot
> Portable Wi-Fi hotspot.
2. Read the instructions, and then tap OK.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
4. Tap Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings and configure the
settings.
Activating Bluetooth Tethering
1. Tap > Settings > More... > Tethering & portable hotspot
> Bluetooth tethering.
2. Read the instructions, and then tap OK.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Setting up a Bluetooth Connection
Bluetooth is a short-range wireless technology that enables
wireless connections between electronic devices over a
distance of about 10 meters (33 feet).
Turning on Bluetooth
1. Drag the area at the top of the screen downward.
2. Tap Bluetooth in Quick On/Off to turn on Bluetooth.
x Tap Bluetooth again to turn off Bluetooth.
Pairing with Devices
1. Drag the area at the top of the screen downward.
2. Tap
in Settings Shortcuts and then tap Bluetooth
Settings.
x The phone searches for Bluetooth devices.
3. Select and tap a device from the list.
x Tap
to rename the phone, set a visibility timeout, or
view received files.
4. Tap Pair.
x If you are prompted to enter a PIN, follow the
instructions on the screen.

x You can also launch the Bluetooth function by tapping >
Settings > Bluetooth.
x To unpair a device, tap next to the paired device, and then tap
Unpair.
x Some devices may be unpaired as you tap them.
x To use the Bluetooth technology on a computer, the computer
must have a built-in Bluetooth capability or you must install an
external Bluetooth Dongle. Refer to the computer user manual for
more details.
