If this is not the case, see the chapter
“Adjusting the laser”.
7. Position your work-piece such that the
desired drilling point is directly under
the intersection of the two laser lines.
Clamping the work-piece
1. Lower the quick clamp (8) onto the
work-piece.
The recess on the quick clamp must be
centred on the drilling point.
2. Firmly engage the lever (6) of the quick
clamp (8) to clamp the work-piece.
Adjusting the laser
Caution! - Laser beam. Do not look
into the beam. Turn your head
away or close your eyes to prevent looking
into the laser beam. Danger of eye injury!
To adjust the laser, use a piece of
wood that you no longer need.
Illustration
:
1. Drill just a minimal distance into the
clamped work-piece. Do not make any
further changes to the position of the
work-piece until the laser has been ad-
justed.
2. Switch on the laser at the On/Off
switch (13).
3. Loosen each of the small grub screws
(29) on the right side of the housing
with the small hex key (24) and adjust
the laser cross to the point that you
drilled in the work-piece by moving the
two laser lines by hand.
Using the parallel guide
For large work-pieces, use the parallel
guide (7).
1. Loosen the wing screws (16) of the par-
allel guide (7).
2. Slide the parallel guide (7) into the gui-
de slot of the baseplate (15).
The slot nuts underneath the wing
screws (16) must sit within the guide
slot.
3. Position the parallel guide (7) against
the work-piece.
4. Tighten the wing screws (16).
5. Lower the quick clamp (8) onto the
work-piece.
The recess on the quick clamp must be
centred on the drilling point.
6. Firmly engage the lever (6) of the quick
clamp (8) to clamp the work-piece.
For wide and long work-pieces, en-
sure sufcient support, such as with
a sawhorse. Otherwise work-pieces that
extend past the baseplate could tip and
damage the tool or the bit.
Switching the work light /
laser on or off
1. To switch on, move the On/Off switch
(13) to position I.
2. To switch off, move the On/Off switch
(13) to position 0.
Switching on and off
Make sure that the mains supply
voltage matches the voltage rating
indicated on the tool type plate.
Connect the tool to the power sup-
ply.
Caution! Swing down the safety
shield (5) in front of the drill chuck
(17) before you switch on the machine.
