Why is my Patchwork Technology BlackBox Advance GPS showing no signal?

  If your Patchwork Technology GPS isn't getting a signal, there could be a few reasons. First, check for obstructions; the receiver needs a clear view of the sky. Reposition it outside the cab, ensuring minimal obstructions. Note that it can take up to 20 minutes to acquire the signal after repositioning. Another cause might be an incorrect GPS speed setting. Go to the "Setup" screen from the main BlackBox menu, then to "Ports Setup", and select "GPS Speed" to set it to 19200. Finally, the "Steering" option could be enabled. Disable it by going to the "Setup" screen, then "Advanced", and then the "steering" menu.

  If your Patchwork Technology GPS displays a 'Storage card cannot be found' error, first ensure that the storage card supplied with the unit is inserted into the relevant slot. If the card is inserted and the error persists, power down the unit and restart it. If the problem continues, make sure that the memory card is prepared for use with the BlackBox unit.

  If the headland warning feature on your Patchwork Technology GPS isn't working right, there are a couple of things to check. First, make sure the minimap is closed. In the job screen, press the menu button and select "Hide Minimap" to display the headland warning countdown. Also, ensure that a boundary is set for the current field; the Headland warning won't work without it.

  If the Coverage Area Recording isn't working on your Patchwork Technology GPS, the 'Coverage Area Recording on/ off' method may be set incorrectly. From the main blackBox menu, go to "Setup", then "Ports Setup", and click on "On/ Off". Change this setting to the mode you need to use.
