7. Maintenance

surfaces of the devce, as detaled n ths secton

carred out by traned techncans only
3 Servce and repar operatons must only be carred
out by an engneer traned by the manufacturer The
warranty for ths product s vod f the product s not
mantaned n accordance wth the servce schedule
detaled below, and the procedures publshed n the
Servce Manual for ths product
4 After servcng and cleanng procedures, verfy postve
acton of the bag/ventlator selector swtch before the
unt s used clncally
heck that at all tmes that the swtch s free to move
from one end of ts travel to the other
7.1 Service Schedule
Servcng and repars must only be carred out by Penlon-
traned engneers
1 Sx-monthly nspecton and functon testng
2 24-month servce whch ncludes routne replacement of
seals etc, as preventve mantenance
7.2 Canister and Seals
leanlness s the essental requrement for all components n
contact wth absorbent
Soda lme tends to adhere strongly to surfaces when t has
become exhausted
1 To mantan good sealng, wpe the canster (1), absorbent
contaner (2), seal (3), and the sealng plate (4) above the
canster
2 Remove all partcles of soda lme, whenever the absorbent
s changed
These components must be scrubbed under runnng water
when the complete system s dsmantled for sterlsaton or
dsnfecton See secton 84
