8.6 Absorber Assembly Reassembly after
Cleaning and Sterilisation
AUTION
When the absorber s lfted or carred by hand, always
support the weght of the unt under the base
Do not lft the absorber by grppng any of the components
attached to the manfold block - see secton 51
8.6.1 Ventilator Bellows
AUTION
After cleanng, check that the small O-rng (1) located n
the bellows base under the daphragm valve s n place The
ventlator wll not functon f the O-rng s mssng
1 Reft the exhalaton daphragm valve assembly (2) to the
bellows base
2 Reft the bellows assembly (3) and housng (4)
AUTION
heck for correct ftment of the bellows (3) Functon test
the ventlator before clncal use (refer to ventlator user
manual)
8.6.2 Absorber
Reverse the dsmantlng procedure gven n secton 84
Refllng
1 Reft the contaner or pre-pack
Pre-packed soda lme
heck that the three spacers (1) are n place
heck that the carrer (2) s n place
Insert the pre-pack nto the carrer n the canster
Bulk packed (loose) soda lme
heck that the three spacers (1) are n place, and place the
contaner n the canster
2 Reft the absorbent canster
Warnng
The canster seals at the top face Mantan the poston of
the rm of the canster over the outer lp of the seal (3) as
you rotate the lever ant-clockwse to the vertcal, locked-
on poston Falure to lock the canster n the fully closed
poston, may cause a system leak and/or a reducton n O
absorpton
3 Lft the canster upwards (4) and poston the rm of the
canster over the outer lp of the seal (3)
4 Hold the canster n place, check that there s no lateral
movement
Turn the lever (5) ant-clockwse to the vertcal poston to
lock the canster n place
5 Before clncal use, ALWAYS carry out all the Pre-use
hecks lsted n secton 6 of ths manual
