8.4.5 Dismantling and Cleaning the Absorber before
Sterilisation
AUTION
Removal and refttng must only be carred out by qualfed
servce personnel
Always support the weght of the unt under the base Do not
lft the absorber by grppng any of the components attached
to the manfold block (1)
1 Remove the absorber assembly from the anaesthetc
machne
Loosen the pole-mount knob (2) arefully lft the absorber
assembly from the polemount
2 Models wth optonal heater unt (3)
At the base of the heater unt, remove the four screws
(4), securng the heater and the pole-mount and bracket
assembly (5) to the absorber
3 Models wthout heater
At the base of the bracket assembly (6), remove the four
screws (7), securng the pole-mount and bracket assembly
(8) to the absorber
4 Detach the pole-mount wth bracket and heater assembly
(f ftted) and put to one sde
WARNIN
Do NOT mmerse or autoclave the heater unt (4)
5 Wash the absorber assembly nternally wth warm water
and soap soluton, then rnse and ar dry
6 Reft the absorbent canster (9) (wth nner carrer and
contaner, f used)  The absorber assembly can now be
autoclaved as a sngle unt
7 Refer to secton 851 for dsnfecton and sterlsaton
nformaton for the absorber and components
