NOTE
To
allow enough time for your truck's
nish to cure, wait at least thirty days
after the date of manufacture before
waxing.
• Do not
apply wax in the hot sun.
• Never dust
off dry surfaces with a
cloth because it will scratch the
nishes.
Cleaning the
Chassis
• Hose dirt and grime from the
entire chassis. Then, if an oil
leak develops, you will be able to
detect it easier.
• Corrosive materials used for ice
and snow removal and dust control
can collect on the underbody. If
these materials are not removed,
accelerated corrosion (rust) can
occur on underbody parts such as
fuel lines, frames, oor pan, and
exhaust system, even though they
have been provided with corrosion
protection.
At least
every spring, ush these
materials from the under body with
plain water. Be sure to clean any
area where mud and other debris can
collect. Sediment packed in closed
areas of the frame should be loosened
before being ushed. If desired, your
dealer can do this service for you.
Cleaning Interior
Vinyl and
Upholstery
• Wipe vinyl upholstery and lining
with a good commercial upholstery
cleaner. Do not use acetone or
lacquer thinner.
• Clean fabric upholstery with
upholstery shampoo specially
formulated for this purpose. Follow
instructions on the container.
