Setting the upper overedge looper
15. Setting the height of the overedge looper
Requirement:
When the upper overedge looper has reached its point of reversal, the distance between the hook point
and the needle plate must be 10.5 mm.
Check:
● Turn the handwheel in the normal direction until the upper overedge looper is in the position seen in
figure 29.
● Check the distance with the aid of the adjustment gauge (measurement H).
Setting:
● Turn the handwheel in the normal direction until the upper overedge looper is in the position
seen in the figure below.
● Slightly loosen both fastening screws 10.
● Move the bracket 11 of the looper drive arm 12 until the distance between the looper
point and the needle plate is 10.5 mm.
● Tighten both fastening screws 10.
Test:
● As described under “Requirement”.
