34. Setting the release path of the thread tensions
Requirement:
When the presser bar is raised, the tension disc 62 must have a clearance of approx. 0.5 mm to the
tension disc 63 (Figure 58).
Check:
● Remove the front housing in accordance with the adjustment and repair instructions.
● Raise the presser bar lever.
● Pull a thread throught both tension discs 62 and 63.
● There should be no tension on the thread.
● Carry out a visual check to see that the clearance is not larger than 0.5 mm.
Setting:
● Lower the presser bar lever.
● Slightly loosen the screws 64.
● Push the holder 65 towards the back and simultaneously to the right until the release slide
lies next to the release lever 67 and the release plate 68 without any play.
● Tighten the screws 64.
Hinweis:
● If the holder 65 is pushed too far to the right, the thread tension barrels will be at a slant.
