33. Setting the release eccentric
Note:
Only the blue and green thread tensions are released when the presser bar lever is raised
Requirement:
When the presser bar lever is lowered, the release eccentric 58 and its groove 59 must face upward
vertically (figure 57).
Setting:
● Remove the front housing according to the adjustment and repair instructions.
● Lower the presser bar.
● Slightly loosen the screw 60.
● Move the release eccentric in such a manner until the groove 59 is facing upward vertically.
● Tighten the screw 60.
Note:
The needle bar drive 61 must not have any axial play.
Test:
● As described under “Requirement”.
