26. Setting the lower blade
Requirement:
The cutting edge of the lower blade must be flush with the top edge of the needle plate (figure 47).
Check:
● Carry out a visual check.
Setting:
● Loosen the screw 29.
● Move the lower blade 30 until its cutting edge is flush with the top edge of the needle plate 31.
● Tighten the screw 29.
Test:
● As described under “Requirement”.
